Not your ordinary day

I slept in this morning and it felt great! (sort of) I awoke to a grey sky, and ate a late breakfast, then went to the couch where I slept some more. Then I talked with Charly, and did some work with my calendar. Trying to fit time in with all the grandchildren, children, church, Jerry, my family, Jerry's family, my friends... is difficult. Lately I have just felt overwhelmed and wanting to be around no one. Last Friday I did that! I took the whole day, and talked to no one. I worked on cleaning the garage. I need to post a picture of it. It took me a couple of days to complete. I bought some peg board to hang up Jerry's tools, and I organized his tool boxes. I enjoyed my time alone. So anyway, getting back to what I did today...After adding things to my calendar I showered and got ready to go get some groceries, and see a movie with Jerry. On the way to Meijers we noticed something was taking place at the Alltel store. Big lights and panel reflectors all around the store and inside it. They were shooting a commercial. It looked interesting so we drove through the parking lot..we only stayed for a minute and then went to Meijers..and the movie. On our way back from the movie we noticed they were still shooting the commercial, so we decided to go back and watch. After the commercial was done the guys came up to us spectators and offered us to take pictures of them and with us if we wanted. So hey, why not! Jerry had his camera phone so here are a few of them that were taken. We had a great time! Hence the title...not your ordinary day. I try hard to not let days feel that way..there is always something new to learn or experience.

Yard Work

My first Spring/Summer to work on my yard and home without the responsibilites of raising children, or a job. It feels so wonderful. Time to get to know me. While working on the yard I love talking to God and also spending time just listening. Today I was thinking about the Garden of Eden. It must have been absolutely beautiful! I was also excited to think of what Heaven must look like. If the earth has so much beauty in it...just imagine Heaven.
Kari, Charly and Aydan spent the last few days here while Mark and his friend put in windows at their home. I didn't spend as much time with them as hoped for, due to being sick...but the time we had together was very nice..(as usual)
Jerry went to the store to get some laundry soap and some more top soil for my flowers. He is so wonderful! He is always ready to make a run to the store...something I hate to do, he loves to do. We make a great pair. He is the love of my life, and I just can't imagine life without him, but when that does happen it only means that in a short time we will be reunited in Heaven...unless we go at the same time, which would be ideal. hehehe.
As I said before..I'm looking forward to getting to know more about me. I have a new freedom, a freedom I don't want to take for granted. I want to fill my life with new things each day, so that no two days look alike.
